Misleading

The Reel says

Domestic taxes and policy denial caused the Nifty stock market crash?

The clip misleadingly compares India's stock market to Iran's, ignoring that Iran's stock market surge is driven by hyperinflation and currency depreciation rather than economic strength. While domestic taxes affect investor behavior, a Mint report notes that global factors like US bond yields and crude oil prices significantly drive the Indian market's decline. It is true that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman defended the Indian rupee's performance, stating it is doing fine compared to other emerging economies despite regional conflict pressures.

The trick: Mixes up two things

It treats two very different things as the same (known as false equivalence).

“Football से बड़े बड़े bomb गिरे हैं Iran के ऊपर। लेकिन Iran ने फिर भी अच्छा कर लिया। आपसे ज्यादा better है वो।”

It compares India's stock market to Iran's hyperinflation-driven nominal index gains to falsely argue that global factors do not impact markets.
