Delete your data

Last updated: 30 September 2026

You can ask checkthis.chat to delete the data we hold about you at any time.

How to request deletion

Email hello@checkthis.chat with the subject "Data deletion request", or send the message "delete my data" to @checkthis.chat on Instagram.
Include your Instagram username so we can find your data.

What we delete

Your messages to @checkthis.chat, your Instagram-scoped ID, and the analysis history linked to your account. Media files are already deleted right after each analysis.

Anonymous results that are not linked to you (for example a public verdict on a widely shared video) may remain, because other people rely on them.

When

We complete deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by the channel you used.
