checkthis · automated fact-check · How we check · Reel by @asifma121

iQOO's campus ambassador program is real and offers a smartphone, stipend, and merchandise, but is limited to four cities and five initial slots. The Reel correctly describes the iQOO Tribe campus ambassador program and its perks, including an iQOO smartphone, monthly stipend, merchandise, and recommendation letter. However, it leaves out that the program is restricted to students in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru, and selects only five candidates in its first phase after a multi-stage evaluation (Fonearena).

The trick: Picks only some facts

It shows the facts that fit and leaves out those that don't (known as cherry-picking).

“Present B.Tech degree చదువుతున్న any branch student ఈ program కి eligible.”

The Reel promotes the program's benefits without mentioning the geographic restriction to four cities or the five-slot limit.
