Foreign companies dumped AI data centers in India after Western protests?

MisleadingTrick: Coincidence = cause

Checked 15 Oct 2026 · Updated 19 Oct 2026

The Reel accurately cites recent news about a data center's unmetered water use in Georgia and massive AI infrastructure investments in India. However, it falsely connects these events to claim data centers are being 'dumped' in India because its citizens do not protest. In reality, data center expansion is a global trend driven by AI demand, and Indian citizens have actively protested against data center projects over water and environmental concerns.

The trick: Coincidence = cause

It claims one thing caused another only because it came first or happened at the same time (known as false cause).

"they started protesting against it in Georgia, US, Europe, West everywhere। and finally उनको एक solution मिलता है। the solution was India।"

The Reel connects unrelated facts—a water dispute in Georgia and AI investments in India—to falsely claim the latter is a consequence of the former, while ignoring that data center expansion is global.
