The Reel says
Claim that immigration is a deliberate 'jihad' strategy to take over Western nations?
The Reel's claim that immigration is a systematic, violent takeover mechanism is contradicted by empirical research showing immigrants commit fewer violent crimes than native-born citizens. In a PragerU interview, speaker Bill Federer claims that immigration follows a three-step 'immigration jihad' process involving demographic expansion and violent displacement. However, empirical studies from the Cato Institute and American Immigration Council show that higher immigrant populations do not cause higher crime rates. Research indicates that as immigration increased in recent decades, violent crime rates dropped significantly.

It uses fear to push a conclusion (known as fear appeal).
“And then you have random outbreaks of violence, usually by the young men, you know, knifings, rapes, acid attacks, and the inhabitants of the neighborhood no longer feel safe and move out”
How this trick works and how to answer it →
What the Reel doesn't tell you
- Extensive empirical research demonstrating that immigrant populations are associated with lower crime rates and do not engage in systematic violent conquest.
- The American Immigration Council reported that between 1980 and 2022, the immigrant share of the U.S. population doubled while overall crime rates dropped by 60.4% and violent crime fell by 34.5% (American Immigration Council).
- Studies by the Cato Institute consistently show that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes or be incarcerated than native-born citizens (Cato Institute).
How it plays you
It wants you to think: “so immigration and multiculturalism are tools used to systematically take over and conquer Western nations.”
Isolated violent incidents do not prove that immigration and multiculturalism are part of a coordinated, systematic strategy to conquer Western countries.
