The Reel says
Land drive near PM house framed as revenge for Air Chief's comments?
The IAF's fighter jet delays and shortages are accurate facts, but framing the land recovery drive on Lok Kalyan Marg as targeted retaliation is an unsupported leap. Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh did report that IAF fighter squadrons have fallen to 29 against a sanctioned 42, and Tejas Mk1A deliveries remain delayed. However, Economic Times reports that the closure of the Air Force Sports Complex was part of a broader government drive to reclaim prime land around Lok Kalyan Marg that also affected the Delhi Race Club and Gymkhana Club, not political retaliation.

What the Reel doesn't tell you
- The closure of the Air Force Sports Complex was part of a broader government land recovery drive around Lok Kalyan Marg that also reclaimed land from the Delhi Race Club, Gymkhana Club, and Jaipur Polo Ground.
- Government officials stated that the closure of the Air Force Sports Complex was part of an ongoing drive to reclaim prime land parcels around Lok Kalyan Marg and that the timing relative to the Air Chief Marshal's retirement was purely coincidental (The New Indian Express, Economic Times).
- Delays in the delivery of Tejas Mark 1A jets have been caused by supply chain constraints and engine delivery delays from US-based GE Aerospace (New Indian Express, BusinessLine).
