The trick: Attacks the person

It attacks the person instead of what they said (known as personal attack).

It wants you to think: "Independent journalists who criticize the government are dishonest actors who manufacture fake outrage and propaganda for personal gain."

Attacking a creator's character or integrity does not prove whether a specific message or event actually occurred. One unverified dispute does not represent all independent journalists.

• Name calling: "Retarded reporter". The creator uses a derogatory insult to mock the target's name and intelligence, setting a hostile tone before presenting any arguments.
• Flawed logic: "जो बंदा anti BJP लोगों को follow कर रहा है वह उसकी company से BJP को promote करेगा". The creator assumes a marketing agency co-founder's personal social media following list dictates all business contracts their company would ever take, which is a logical leap.
