ExaggeratedTrick: Accuses by asking

While Delhi demolished 157 structures and the education minister resigned over paper leaks, IIT Bombay denied reports that its director resigned. The Reel's claim that he is being pushed out is unverified.

The trick: Accuses by asking

It asks a loaded question to plant a claim it never has to prove (known as accusing by question).

"तो अब आप बताओ कौन है यह लोग जिनको India में रहकर India को आगे नहीं बढ़ने देना。"

Framing disagreements as malicious obstruction through a rhetorical question does not establish that critics want to harm the country.

What the Reel doesn't tell you

What each side says

critics and protesters in IndiaVillagers and local critics argue that land acquisition involves manipulation and unfair compensation rather than fair development. Mathrubhumi
the Indian government and business supportersThe government maintains that infrastructure and industrial projects are essential for national development and energy security. Mathrubhumi

How it tries to persuade you

It wants you to think: "People who protest or raise concerns about government policies are unpatriotic hypocrites who deliberately want to stop India from progressing."

Raising concerns about land acquisition, fair compensation, or environmental impact is a normal part of a democracy. Disagreements over policy do not mean citizens are trying to maliciously obstruct the country's growth.
