The trick: Picks only some facts

It shows the facts that fit and leaves out those that don't (known as cherry-picking).

"गोदरा कांड जानबूझकर होने दिया गया और IPS संजीव भट्ट कौन है"

Highlighting isolated allegations and sting operations while ignoring official judicial inquiries does not establish a proven conspiracy.

What the Reel doesn't tell you

What each side says

Sanjiv BhattSanjiv Bhatt maintained that state leadership instructed officials not to impede Hindu backlash during the 2002 riots. The Hindu

How it plays you

It wants you to think: "The Gujarat government deliberately orchestrated the 2002 riots and systematically murdered or jailed whistleblowers to cover it up."

This conspiracy theory relies on cherry-picking dismissed allegations while ignoring official judicial findings. The Supreme Court-appointed SIT and the Nanavati Commission thoroughly investigated these claims and found no evidence of state complicity. Furthermore, Sanjiv Bhatt's prison sentences are for separate, older criminal convictions, and Haren Pandya's murder was legally resolved with convictions in 2019.
