What the Reel doesn't tell you
- The survey is an informal online poll from 2014, not a scientific study.
- Half of the women surveyed who had a backup plan stated that their current partner was aware of the other person.
How it plays you
- Exaggeration: "50% OF WOMEN IN RELATIONSHIPS SECRETLY HAVE A BACKUP PARTNER READY". The post adds the word 'secretly' to make the survey sound more deceptive. In reality, the survey reported that half of the women with a backup partner said their current partner was aware of the other man.
